Make new friends and keep the old...

These words from an old song are what keep running through my mind today as I reflect upon this past weekend and the show 3 Craft Chicks participated in. We were vendors at the Vintage Finds and Handmade Treasures Market, hosted by mother & daughter team ~ Kathy & Jennifer.  It was fun to see many {old} friends & customers but also to make {new} friends & customers!!!

It is a bit like going to summer camp when you arrive at show set up the day before and see other vendors that you only see at shows. This show held much of that for me although it is only our 3rd show!!! It is so wonderful making new friends with vendors on either side of us...there is such a camaraderie among vendors! I am loving this aspect of being in the junking business!!!
I'm so THANKFUL to my sweet family & friends who helped prepare everything single thing for this show.

Here are a few pictures of getting things ready and of set-up day...
Love my 2 Craft worker bees!!! Natalie had already worked a full day at Chaps before making the drive out to help us with show set up!!!
Our friends ~ Doug & Kathy ~ showed up at just the right moment! Literally!!! Jim & I were out in the parking lot unloading our big rack system and I was sorta nervous {ok...alota nervous!} about how it was all going to come together as this was our first time using this rack system...I looked over and there was Kathy and she asked what they could help us with since they were nearby for a wedding rehearsal dinner and had exactly 50 minutes to kill!!! PERFECT!!! They cut, measured & hung some burlap type fabric to cover the back of the shelves!!! IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN PLANNED ANY BETTER IF WE HAD TRIED!!! Love when that happens...

These pictures are a couple nights before the show...
THANK YOU Brittany for all your help & hard work ~ you made it possible to have the neat vintage jewelry rings & bracelets!!!
Nat was the faithful "filer"...we took the backs off vintage costume earrings and made them into rings!
A special thank you to each one who helped me get ready for this show...my family rocks & are so very supportive! I can't even imagine doing this without them...from start to finish...Lauren & Austin putting labels on my business cards to mark a change in 3 Craft Chicks, Natalie tying ribbons & bows on the bags, getting jewelry ready, set up for show, Brittany making all the pretty pretty rings and finally JIM...WHAT DOESN'T HE DO???? He absolutely makes this all possible!!! Thank you honey!!!

This is something that always AMAZES me...
The transformation that happens ~
BEFORE SET-UP...

HOPE TO SEE YOU NEXT MONTH AS WE ARE VENDORS AT A PHENOMENAL CHRISTMAS SHOW THE FIRST WEEKEND IN DECEMBER...
